ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A crash occurred on Route 23 this afternoon around 12:15 PM. According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, the crash was located near the South Bridge Street exit in Chillicothe. Emergency responders, including rescue crews and law enforcement, have been dispatched to the scene.
One person, according to rescue personnel, had to be extracted from one of he vehicles involved.
A medical helicopter was also requested to the scene.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area as authorities work to clear the crash site.
The names of those involved and the extent of their injuries have not yet been released.
