CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A student at Unioto Middle School was taken into custody yesterday after allegedly issuing a threat, according to school district officials.
In a statement sent to parents, the district reported that deputies from the Ross County Sheriff’s Department arrived on the school campus to interview students following a report of a potential threat to school safety. “Deputies from the Ross County Sheriff’s Department arrived on our school campus to interview students after receiving a report of a threat to school safety,” the statement read. One student was subsequently removed from the middle school and taken into custody.
The district did not provide further details on the nature of the threat or the identity of the student involved, stating that they had no further comment at this time.
