ADAMS COUNTY, Ohio — Two Highland County men were arrested last week in connection with the 2020 murder of an 18-year-old in Adams County, as announced by Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, Adams County Sheriff Kimmy Rogers, and Adams County Prosecutor Aaron Haslam.
Jordan Comer, 22, and Latyran “Ty” Haithcock, 25, both from Hillsboro, were taken into custody without incident. Arrest warrants issued last Friday allege that Comer and Haithcock were responsible for the death of Boston Bloomfield on August 25, 2020, in the 200 block of Palmer Road in Seaman, Adams County.
These arrests come after a comprehensive investigation by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Highland County Task Force, Highland County Prosecutor’s Office, and Highland County Sheriff’s Office. The arrests were made with additional support from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and the Washington Court House Police Department.
Comer is being held in the Adams County Jail, while Haithcock is in the Fayette County Jail. The case is under review by the Adams County prosecuting attorney and will be presented to a grand jury.
It is important to remember that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
