CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Authorities are investigating a break-in at the Yocktangee Park concession stand, located by Diamond 1, which occurred on September 5, 2024.
Initial reports indicate that the concession stand’s door lock was broken to gain entry. While the lock box containing money was found open, it appeared that no money was taken at first glance. However, later it was discovered that approximately $100 worth of candy had been stolen.
The concession stand had been closed around 9:30 p.m. the previous night following a game, and everything appeared normal at that time. No witnesses reported seeing anything suspicious, although a few children on bikes were seen in the area. The investigation is ongoing, with no current leads or follow-ups at this time.
