ROSS COUNTY, Ohio – The Ross County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the Tiffan Estates Apartment Complex on Anderson Station Road just after 9:30 a.m. today in response to reports of a dog mauling.
Authorities say that an 11-year-old child was the victim, suffering injuries to the head and face. Deputies and emergency medical personnel arrived to provide aid and assess the situation. The severity of the child’s injuries is not yet known.
The Ross County Dog Warden was also requested to the scene.
A medical helicopter has been requested to transport the child to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus.
The incident is under investigation, and further details will be released as they become available.
