CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Mayor Luke Feeney has officially announced Chillicothe’s Halloween events for 2024, inviting residents to participate in a variety of community activities. The city-wide Trick-or-Treat will take place rain or shine on Thursday, October 31, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This annual tradition allows families across the city to enjoy the holiday festivities safely.

In addition to the main event, Chillicothe will host Downtown Trick-or-Treat on Saturday, October 26, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This event is organized by “Discover Downtown Chillicothe” and provides an opportunity for children and families to visit local businesses. Following this, the annual Halloween Parade, hosted by the “Chillicothe Jaycees,” will kick off at 7:00 p.m., adding to the evening’s celebrations.

Mayor Feeney also issued a statement urging drivers to exercise extra caution during these events to ensure the safety of everyone involved. He emphasized that the city adheres to the Halloween schedule recommended by the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC), which helps coordinate event timings for central Ohio communities.
