COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio AMBER Alert Advisory Committee is set to convene for a public meeting on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. The session will take place at the Ohio Emergency Management Agency Building, located at 2855 West Dublin-Granville Road in Columbus.

The Ohio AMBER Alert Advisory Committee comprises representatives from a range of state agencies and organizations, including:
- Ohio Emergency Management Agency
- Ohio State Highway Patrol
- Ohio Department of Transportation
- Attorney General’s Office – Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), Missing Persons Unit
- State Emergency Communications Committee
- Buckeye State Sheriffs’ Association
- Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police
- Ohio Association of Broadcasters
- A victim’s advocate
- A community member
- A representative from a local or regional AMBER plan
The committee works collaboratively to improve the effectiveness of alert systems used to locate missing and endangered individuals across the state. Topics of discussion during the meeting will include recent alerts, training updates, and planning for the 2024 AMBER Alert Symposium.
