HALIFAX, Nova Scotia — A tragic accident occurred at a Walmart store in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where a 19-year-old employee died after becoming trapped in a walk-in oven in the store’s bakery department. The incident took place on Saturday evening, and Halifax police were called to the scene at around 9:30 p.m.
According to reports, the employee entered the oven, and the door unexpectedly closed behind her, trapping her inside. By the time first responders arrived, they were able to get her out, but despite their efforts, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Walmart store, located at 6990 Mumford Road, remained closed as the investigation continued. Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances of the accident.
