CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The South Central Ohio Job and Family Services (SCOJFS) is making the holiday season brighter for nearly 200 children in foster care by hosting an Amazon Toy Drive to help collect gifts for its annual Christmas celebration. This yearly event has become a treasured tradition, bringing joy and comfort to children who are separated from their families during this emotional time.

Currently, SCOJFS has 197 children in foster care, and each has contributed their own gift ideas to a specially curated Amazon wishlist. The goal is to ensure each child receives a personalized gift, thoughtfully selected to make them feel special and valued.

The toy drive’s wishlist will be updated as children enter or exit foster care and every item purchased ships directly to the SCOJFS office, making it easy for community members to get involved. The agency’s dedicated staff works hard to create a joyful, stress-free holiday experience for the kids, helping them to feel celebrated and supported.

This year, SCOJFS is reaching out to the community to help make this season one to remember for children in care. Those who wish to participate can select a gift from the wishlist, sharing in the spirit of giving and helping create a night of laughter, fun, and joy.
