ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A domestic dispute in Ross County turned violent on the evening of November 9, 2024, when a man reported that his wife, Carrie Ball, allegedly struck him with her vehicle during an altercation. A Ross County Sheriff’s deputy responded to the scene and filed a report detailing the incident.

According to the report, the man alleged that his wife had run him over with her vehicle following a heated argument. He explained that Carrie Ball had been sitting in her vehicle outside their residence while visibly upset. He had entered the vehicle to try and speak with her, but the argument escalated, and Carrie reportedly demanded that he exit the car.

After he exited, and while the passenger door was still open, Carrie allegedly threw a beer can at him. When he bent down to pick up the can, she reportedly reversed the vehicle, striking him with the open car door. This impact allegedly caused him to fall, and he was subsequently dragged under the vehicle, rolling several times before the car came to a stop.

Following the incident, the man reportedly walked back to his home and documented his injuries, including damage to his left leg and torn clothing. He refused medical treatment but provided a description of the injuries to the deputy. According to the report, Carrie Ball briefly returned to the residence, where she continued to yell at him before leaving the scene.

A “Be On the Lookout” (BOLO) alert was issued for Ball and her vehicle. Authorities later located and detained her in Scioto County. The Pike County Sheriff’s Office transported her to the Ross County Jail, where she was handed over to jail staff. Ball has been charged with aggravated assault, felonious assault, and domestic violence, according to the Ross County Jail Roster.
