CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Veteran Chillicothe auto dealer Richard Nourse has sold three of his dealerships located along the Ohio-West Virginia border, a move that will allow him to concentrate on his core operations in Chillicothe. The sale, which closed on October 17, 2024, includes Pioneer Chevrolet and Family Ford Lincoln in Marietta, Ohio, as well as Pioneer Honda in Parkersburg, W.Va.
The transaction transfers ownership to Thomas and Ashley Peden, who are continuing to expand their dealership portfolio across the region. The Pedens have gained traction in the automotive market since 2020, with operations in Zanesville, and are now positioned to broaden their presence with the addition of these three locations.

The deal was facilitated by the Tim Lamb Group, a leading North American firm specializing in auto dealership sales and acquisitions. Known for its expertise in high-value dealership transactions, the Tim Lamb Group has a reputation for seamless transitions and extensive knowledge of the automotive industry.
Nourse, who has been a respected figure in the local automotive business for over 35 years, said, “I hadn’t contemplated selling, but when I was presented with the opportunity to sell to the Pedens I really had to consider it.” Nourse continued by saying, “I’ve heard great things about the Pedens and the accomplishments they have achieved in the Zanesville market, and I knew they would be great stewards to continue what we have built in the community.”
