CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Chillicothe Police Department has disclosed a heavily redacted report detailing an October 6 encounter between a local resident and members of a predator hunter group called “Bikers Against Predators.” Officers responded to a residence on University Drive after receiving reports of the group’s confrontation with a man they alleged had been communicating inappropriately with someone he believed to be a minor.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with members of “Bikers Against Predators,” who explained that they stage encounters with adults who attempt to meet minors online. The group shared that, in this case, one of their members had posed as an 11-year-old on the app Meet24. They provided officers with text messages and other communications, including explicit content allegedly sent by the suspect.
The police report did not identify the individual involved and contained heavy redactions, leaving many details undisclosed. This incident marks the second time this year that a predator hunter group has confronted a suspect in Chillicothe. A similar confrontation occurred earlier this year at Hopeton Terrace, also located on University Drive, though it remains unclear if the two cases are connected.
Chillicothe Police have not released further information, with the report’s final entry dated November 2. The department has yet to announce any follow-up actions or confirm whether charges are forthcoming.
