CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – The City of Chillicothe Administration Building will remain closed on Thursday, January 9, 2025, due to ongoing HVAC issues, city officials announced. On-site meetings scheduled at the building have been postponed until further notice.
Essential city operations, including emergency services and refuse and recycling pickup, will continue as normal. However, several departments within the administration building remain affected by the closure. These include the Auditor’s Office, Income Tax, Human Resources, Nuisance, Parks & Recreation, Utility Billing, Mayor’s Office, Safety/Service, Planning, Engineering, and Building.
The Chillicothe Service Department is actively working with contractors to address the HVAC problems and restore normal operations as quickly as possible. Updates on the building’s status and its reopening will be shared with the public as they become available.
Residents are encouraged to use the city’s online resources at ChillicotheOH.gov for department contact information and updates. The city also advises residents to follow its official Facebook page for the latest announcements.
