COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Lottery has reported a series of major wins this week, with lucky players claiming prizes ranging from $50,000 to a $1 million jackpot.
In Canton, Solomon and Nicole celebrated a $1 million win on the VIP Millions scratch-off ticket. The couple bought their ticket at R & J Marathon, located at 2201 9th St SW. Opting for the cash option, they received $500,000, which, after taxes, comes to approximately $360,000. This scratch-off, priced at $50, has 48 top prizes still in play as of January 23.
Meanwhile, a lucky player in Lorain took home $130,000 from the Rolling Cash 5 game. The winning ticket was sold at Meijer Gas, 5310 Leavitt Road, for the January 22 drawing. The winning numbers were 10-14-18-20-22. The Rolling Cash 5 is a daily game, with drawings held seven days a week at 7:05 p.m.
Another $1 million prize from the VIP Millions scratch-off was claimed in Boardman. The winner, who purchased their ticket at Fast Trac on Lockwood Blvd, also chose the cash option, taking home approximately $360,000 after taxes. As of January 22, 47 top prizes remain in the VIP Millions game.
In Medina, a lucky Powerball player won $50,000 in the January 18 drawing. The ticket, purchased at Johnny Malloy’s on North Court Street, matched four of the five numbers plus the Powerball to win the prize. The winning numbers were 14-31-35-64-69 with a Powerball of 23. This win comes as the Powerball jackpot for the January 22 drawing was estimated at $31 million.
Other notable wins include a Lady Luck 50X scratch-off winner in Mount Gilead who scored $50,000, and a Billion scratch-off player in Columbus who also claimed $50,000. Both players will take home approximately $36,000 after taxes.
Perhaps the most remarkable win of the week involved eight players in Brunswick who split the $300,000,000 Extreme Cash game’s top prize. Each player will receive around $225,000 after taxes from the $2.5 million cash option prize. The ticket was sold at Cenco on Center Road, and the $300,000,000 Extreme Cash scratch-off has six top prizes remaining.
