DAYTON, Ohio — Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost has filed a lawsuit against Trevor Bush, a Dayton man, and the Harrison Township Cemetery Association for allegedly taking money from customers for gravestones but failing to deliver the products.

The lawsuit, filed in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court, accuses Bush and the cemetery association—operating as “Greencastle Cemetery”—of failing to fulfill contracts for grave markers sold to families. Customers made large upfront payments and were told their headstones would be ready in several months, but the orders remained unfilled even after the promised delivery dates.

“Losing a loved one is hard enough without having to fight to get what you paid for,” said Yost. “Any business that operates so deceptively deserves legal consequences.”

Yost’s lawsuit aims to secure restitution for affected consumers and seeks civil penalties for violations of Ohio’s Consumer Sales Practices Act.

The Attorney General’s Office is also encouraging other consumers who may have experienced similar issues with Bush or the Harrison Township Cemetery Association to file complaints by visiting www.OhioProtects.org or calling 1-800-282-0515.
