FAYETTE COUNTY, Ohio — The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two-vehicle crash that left two people injured Tuesday evening on U.S. 22 NW.

The crash occurred at approximately 7:43 p.m. in the 2000 block of the roadway. According to authorities, a 2008 Nissan Altima driven by 46-year-old Toyia C. Scott of Washington Court House was traveling east when it crossed the center line and collided with a westbound 2021 Toyota 4-Runner operated by Dana M. Foor, 63, also of Washington Court House.

Emergency responders from Washington Fire & Rescue extricated Foor from her vehicle, while Scott was airlifted from the scene by MedFlight to a Columbus-area trauma center. Foor was transported by Fayette County EMS to Adena-Fayette Medical Center before being transferred to a trauma center in Columbus for further treatment.

Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene. The sheriff’s office continues to investigate the crash.
