PIKE COUNTY, Ohio — Pike Pet Pals, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the Pike County Dog Shelter, is on a mission to reunite a feisty stray with his rightful owner—or at least find someone brave enough to claim him. This small brown dog, who arrived at the shelter with a deformed front leg, has earned the nickname “Tiny Demon” for his fiery personality, and let’s just say he’s not winning any “Good Boy” awards anytime soon.

The pup, who looks like a mix between a dachshund and a gremlin after a bad day, was found wandering as a stray. Shelter staff hoped to get him vetted and ready for adoption, but this little guy had other plans. According to Pike Pet Pals’ Facebook post, every attempt to pick him up has turned into a scene straight out of a cartoon—think snapping jaws, wild growls, and a level of drama that would make a soap opera star jealous. “He violently attacks the person who tries,” the post reads, making it clear that this dog is not here for cuddles or belly rubs.

A photo of the dog shows him standing in a kennel, staring down the camera with a look that says, “I dare you to try me.” The concrete floor and cinderblock walls of the shelter only add to the impression that this pup is plotting his next move—possibly a jailbreak. Despite his small size and physical challenge, he’s got the heart of a lion, or maybe a tiny, very angry dragon.

Pike Pet Pals is now reaching out to the community, hoping someone might recognize this four-legged firecracker. “If he is your dog, please contact us,” they pleaded, adding with, “This dog is not at all adoptable.” It’s clear this pup needs a special kind of owner—perhaps someone with a background in lion taming or a soft spot for chaos.

If you think this “Tiny Demon” might be your missing pet, or if you’re just curious to see if you can outwit his antics, reach out to Pike Pet Pals through their Facebook page or contact the Pike County Dog Shelter directly. One thing’s for sure: this little guy may not be adoptable, but he’s certainly unforgettable!
