CHILLICOTHE — Easter festivities are hopping into Ross County this April, with a variety of events planned for families and children to enjoy. The holiday falls on April 20 this year, and local organizations are gearing up to hide Easter eggs and offer community fun.

At Serenity Wellness Center, a community Easter event is set for 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 12 at 637 Central Center in Chillicothe. Attendees can enjoy free pictures with the Easter Bunny, complimentary Easter baskets, hot meals to go, and resource packets.

The following week, Beulah Chapel will host an Easter egg hunt at 2 p.m. on April 18 at 585 Chester Hill Road in Chillicothe. Aimed at children 12 and under, the event promises free food, prizes, and more than 1,000 Easter eggs to discover.

Also on April 18, the Chillicothe and Ross County Library’s Richmond Dale branch will hold an EGGtravagant Easter egg hunt from 2 to 3 p.m. at 770 Main Street in Richmond Dale, offering a festive outing for library-goers.

Great City Church is joining the fun with its annual Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. on April 19 at 730 Orange Street in Chillicothe. Open to children from zero to fifth grade, the event requires registration for participants.

Kicking off the month’s celebrations, the Chillicothe Day Center will welcome the Easter Bunny on April 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1855 Western Ave. in Chillicothe. The event will feature vendors, egg hunting, and face painting for all to enjoy.

With Easter on the horizon, Ross County residents can look forward to a range of activities beyond the egg hunts, including local fish fries returning for Lent, as reported earlier this season.
