WAVERLY, Ohio — Ohio Loves Transit Week will be observed Feb. 16–20, 2026, as communities across the state recognize and appreciate public transportation systems supported by Ohio transit funding.

As part of the week’s activities, the Community Action Transit System (CATS), a program of the Community Action Committee of Pike County, will offer free rides on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, on select routes in Waverly, Piketon, and Latham.

Riders will also receive information bags, while supplies last, containing details about local services and community resources.

Ohio Loves Transit Week highlights the role public transportation plays in connecting residents to jobs, health care, education, and essential services.

More information about routes, schedules, and services is available by contacting the CATS office at (740) 835-8474.
