CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Ross County Board of Commissioners will meet Monday for a full agenda that includes discussions on opioid settlement funding, court operations, and long‑term planning for the county park system.

The meeting begins at 9 a.m. with routine county business. At 9:30 a.m., the board will hear from Community Action Commission Director Julie Bolen and RCCAC representative Teresa Juenger regarding the use of opioid settlement dollars, part of the statewide distribution intended to support treatment, prevention, and recovery programs.

At 10:30 a.m., several county justice officials — including Judge Schmidt, Judge Ater, Representative Johnson, Prosecutor Jeff Marks, and Clerk of Courts Jordan Wheeler — are scheduled to meet with commissioners to discuss the proposal for a third judge in Ross County. The discussion is expected to focus on caseloads, staffing needs, and the impact on county facilities.

The Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission will hold its first‑round caucus with the board at 11 a.m., followed by a recess from noon to 1 p.m.

The afternoon session resumes at 1 p.m. with a work session dedicated to Ross County Parks, where commissioners are expected to review ongoing projects, maintenance needs, and potential improvements across the county’s park system.

All presentations must be scheduled in advance through the commissioners’ clerk. The meeting will take place at the Ross County Courthouse.
