JEFFERSONVILLE, Ohio — A power outage affecting more than 2,000 customers in Jeffersonville is under investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office as residents contend with frigid winter temperatures.
Officials said the outage involves AES Ohio. Deputies are investigating the cause to determine whether it was accidental or the result of criminal activity.
The outage left thousands without electricity during cold conditions, raising concerns about safety and potential damage. Authorities have not released details on when power will be fully restored.
