COLUMBUS, Ohio — Federal Election Commission records show that billionaire businessman Les Wexner personally contributed thousands of dollars to multiple federal candidates during the 2025–2026 election cycle, including several high-profile Ohio Republicans and one Democratic incumbent.

Itemized receipts filed with the FEC show Wexner, listing a New Albany, Ohio address, made the following contributions:

  • $3,500 to Bernie Moreno for Senate on June 30, 2025.
  • $3,500 to Husted for Senate on July 3, 2025, designated for a special primary.
  • $3,500 to Carey for Congress on June 30, 2025.
  • $3,500 to Beatty for Congress on June 27, 2025.

The filings list Wexner variously as “Founder” of L Brands and “Chairman and CEO” of Limited Brands, the retail empire he built. The contributions appear to be for the 2026 primary contests unless otherwise designated.

The donations place Wexner’s financial support behind both Republican and Democratic candidates during the current cycle.

Prior FEC filings show that before its termination in 2021, L Brands PAC distributed funds to candidates and political committees across party lines.

Wexner, the founder of what became L Brands, has remained politically active despite current controversies surrounding Wexner and his relationship with convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. His continued financial involvement in Ohio races comes as control of the U.S. Senate and House remains closely contested ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
