PIKETON, Ohio — A crash along U.S. 32 in Piketon has turned fatal, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The Guardian first reported on the crash earlier in the day as emergency crews responded and traffic backed up near the interchange with U.S. 23.
Troopers confirmed that Terry McBee, 74, of Beaver, Ohio, was killed in the crash. According to the patrol, McBee was traveling westbound on U.S. 32 when his vehicle sideswiped two other vehicles. His vehicle then traveled off the edge of the roadway and struck a stationary pickup truck on the off-ramp.
Authorities said no other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation. No additional details were immediately available.
