ATHENS, Ohio — Drivers in Athens County can expect to see an increased law enforcement presence on local roads throughout the month of March.
The Athens County Sheriff’s Office announced it will conduct high-visibility traffic enforcement from March 1 through March 31 in partnership with the Ohio Department of Public Safety, the Ohio Traffic Safety Office, and surrounding jurisdictions.
Officials said deputies will increase patrols on city streets, county roads, and highways in an effort to deter traffic violations that pose safety risks to the community.
The Athens County Sheriff’s Office said it will continue working with state agencies and local partners to promote roadway safety throughout the enforcement period.
