WASHINGTON – HALO Dream is recalling about 45,000 of its Magic Sleepsuits after reports that a zipper component can detach from the garment, posing a choking hazard to infants, federal safety regulators announced March 5, 2026.
The New York City-based company has received 15 reports of zipper heads separating from the sleepsuit. No injuries have been reported.
The recall covers Magic Sleepsuits with batch codes PO30592, PO30641, and PO30685 — identifiable on the sewn-in label inside the garment and on the hang tag attached to the outside. The affected suits were sold in small and large sizes in a variety of colors and feature double zippers running down each side of the front of the garment. The shell and lining are made from 100% cotton with a 100% polyester fill. “HALO Magic Sleepsuit” is printed on the front of each garment.
The sleepsuits were sold online through Halosleep.com, Amazon, Walmart.com, and Target.com between September 2025 and February 2026 for approximately $50.

What parents should do
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is urging parents and caregivers to stop using the recalled sleepsuits immediately. Consumers should visit www.sleepsuitrecall.com to register for the recall. After registering, they will receive a coupon code redeemable for a replacement sleepsuit or a $50 store credit toward another item on the company’s website.
Importantly, consumers should not discard the recalled garment until they have received their coupon code.
