PIKE COUNTY, Ohio – Pike County Sheriff’s Deputy Gullett and K9 Rex assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol during a traffic stop on a white Ford F-150 at approximately 4:35 a.m. Saturday, according to Sheriff Tracy D. Evans. The vehicle’s occupants told deputies they were traveling from Michigan to Myrtle Beach.
K9 Rex conducted a free-air sniff and gave a positive alert on the vehicle, the sheriff’s office reported. A search of the truck yielded two handguns — a 9mm pistol and a .380 caliber pistol reported stolen — along with approximately 143 grams of suspected narcotics, according to authorities.
