WAVERLY, Ohio – The Waverly Water Department has launched a fire hydrant evaluation program that will test the municipal distribution system every Friday, according to department officials. Crews will move from hydrant to hydrant to assess the infrastructure for upcoming improvements.
Residents may experience temporary water discoloration when crews work in their area, the department reported. Officials said the water remains safe for use despite the color change.
The evaluations are part of planning for future upgrades to Waverly’s water infrastructure, according to the water department.
