MCARTHUR, Ohio — Vinton County Sheriff’s Office deputies made three arrests and responded to a death investigation during a five-day period from March 25 through March 29, according to an activity report released by the department.
Arrests
On March 26 at 1:25 a.m., deputies arrested Destinay Sullivan, 23, of Ray, on Buttermilk Road in Harrison Township after responding to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle. Sullivan was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and released to a sober individual, according to the report.
On March 27 at 2:34 a.m., deputies arrested Brandon Cantrell, 30, of Hamden, on outstanding warrants out of Vinton County for theft. Cantrell was transported to Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail, according to the report.

On March 28 at 9:09 a.m., deputies arrested Tammy Fausnaugh, 51, of McArthur, following a domestic dispute on U.S. Highway 50 in Richland Township. Fausnaugh was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest and was transported to Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail, according to the report.

Death investigation
On March 25 at 12:07 p.m., deputies responded to a death on Two Mile Road in Brown Township, according to the report. No additional information was provided.

Deputies responded to multiple incidents during the reporting period, including:
- Six motor vehicle crashes
- Three fires (U.S. Highway 50 in Elk Township, Walnut Grove Road in Jackson Township, Miller Avenue in Hamden)
- Two burglaries (State Route 160 in Clinton Township, Bunker Hill Road in Knox Township)
- One commercial burglary alarm (Weaver Church Road in Knox Township)
- Three mental health crises
- Three domestic disputes
- Multiple traffic stops, welfare checks, and complaints of reckless drivers
All individuals arrested or issued citations are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, according to the sheriff’s office.
