PORTSMOUTH, Ohio — A Scioto County grand jury returned 14 indictments on March 20, including charges of attempted murder, felonious assault, and aggravated drug trafficking, according to Scioto County Prosecutor Shane A. Tieman.
Edward Sefah, 17, of Portsmouth, was indicted on attempted murder, felonious assault, abduction, and tampering with evidence.
Jason Blair, 43, of Portsmouth, was indicted on aggravated trafficking in drugs, aggravated possession of drugs, possession of a fentanyl-related compound, two counts of possessing criminal tools, and illegal use or possession of drugs.
Jason Craft, 45, of Lucasville, was indicted on two counts of felonious assault and aggravated menacing.
Charles Rodgers, 25, of Portsmouth, was indicted on felonious assault.
Larry Berry, 43, of Portsmouth, was indicted on violating a protection order, menacing by stalking, and breaking-and-entering.
Chad Warren, 40, of West Portsmouth, was indicted on disrupting public services, domestic violence, and unlawful restraint.
Zane Barnes, 24, of Portsmouth, was indicted on two separate cases. The first indictment charges obstructing official business, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. The second indictment charges strangulation and domestic violence.
Robert Horsley, 52, of Lucasville, was indicted on possession of a fentanyl-related compound, possession of drug abuse instruments, and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
John Tuggle, 58, of McDermott, was indicted on failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer.
Five individuals were indicted on failure to appear charges: Richard Vititoe, 38, of South Webster, on two counts; Deaven Patton, 28, of Lucasville, on two counts; Chad Waller, 41, of Portsmouth; and Sarah Smalley, 38, of Portsmouth.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless proved guilty in a court of law.
