CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A 77-year-old Chillicothe man has been charged with public indecency after an incident on April 3 at the Sack N Save grocery store on West Main Street.
Larry Eugene Oyer was charged with public indecency after engaging in masturbation viewed by another person who is a minor, according to a Chillicothe police report.
According to the report, a caller stated a male sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle was masturbating in full view when they arrived.
Officers contacted Oyer and advised him of his Miranda Rights. A witness who observed the incident told police she wished to pursue charges.
Oyer was issued a summons and released without incident. He is scheduled to appear in Chillicothe Municipal Court on April 13 at 9 a.m.
The charge is a third-degree misdemeanor under Ohio Revised Code 2907.09. A review of Oyer’s criminal history shows no prior crimes of this type, according to the report.
