CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A serious head-on collision involving a rollover occurred on U.S. Route 35 near the Main Street area just before 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, prompting a full closure of the highway and a major emergency response.

According to initial reports from emergency dispatchers and first responders on scene, the crash happened in the vicinity of the Main Street exit or intersection with U.S. 35. Details remain limited as authorities continue to investigate, but witnesses and officials described it as a head-on collision that caused at least one vehicle to rollover.

Multiple occupants were entrapped inside the wreckage, requiring extrication efforts by Chillicothe Fire Department, Ross County EMS, and other responders using hydraulic tools. At least two vehicles were heavily damaged in the impact.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol and local law enforcement have closed U.S. 35 in both directions in the area for the ongoing investigation and cleanup.
