ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Emergency crews are responding to a serious two-vehicle crash on State Route 772 near the small village of Nipgen, near Potts Hill Road, with multiple injuries reported and a medical helicopter requested.

The call came in just after 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Early reports indicate that at least one vehicle struck a church in the area, causing severe structural damage to the building.

Multiple injuries have been reported. A medical helicopter has been requested, indicating that at least one person may be critically injured.

UPDATE: Six people were involved in the two-vehicle crash at State Route 772 and Pott Hill Road. Four were transported to Adena Regional Medical Center, one was airlifted by MedFlight, and one declined treatment. One vehicle also left the roadway and struck a nearby church, according to Twin Township Fire Department.
