CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Ross County Board of Commissioners will convene Monday, April 13, beginning at 9 a.m. at the courthouse at 2 North Paint Street in Chillicothe for a meeting that includes a recognition of the Unioto High School basketball team and an afternoon work session focused on land use and community planning.

The meeting opens with commissioner and county administrator business, followed immediately by a recognition of the Unioto High School basketball team at 9 a.m.

At 9:30 a.m., the board will hear from the Investment Advisory Board. At 10 a.m., Pat Friel will appear before the commissioners with an invitation to a luncheon at the Carlisle Building.

The board will recess from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. before reconvening for an afternoon work session at 1 p.m. focused on the Land Bank and the Greater Ohio Policy Center, known as GOPC — a nonprofit organization that works with communities on issues including vacant property, neighborhood revitalization, and land reuse strategies.

The meeting is open to the public. Anyone wishing to make a presentation to the board must be listed on the agenda in advance.
