ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Huntington Local School District received yet another threat Monday morning, the eleventh such incident to plague the district, prompting a modified lockdown and a law enforcement response.

According to the district, the threat was received at approximately 8:00 a.m. School personnel immediately conducted a walkthrough of the building and reviewed security camera footage for any overnight activity.

The Ross County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the school to conduct their own assessment of the building.

The district announced it would remain on modified lockdown until law enforcement cleared the building, adding that school would proceed as normal once cleared.

This marks the eleventh threat received by Huntington Local School District — a pattern that has raised serious concerns among parents, staff, and community members about who is responsible and whether authorities are any closer to identifying the source.
