WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio — The Fayette County EMS District is marking 50 years of service in 2026, and the agency is asking the residents it has served over those five decades to share their memories.

In a post on its Facebook page, the district invited community members to send accounts of times its crews helped them, a family member or a neighbor — “big or small” — to be featured as part of the anniversary observance. Residents can message the department on Facebook or email [email protected] with their stories, photos and permission to publish them.

“Thank you for trusting us for five decades,” the district said in the post. “Your stories are what make our service worth celebrating.”

The district has provided emergency medical care across Fayette County since 1976, according to the agency. It is based in Washington Court House, the county seat, and is led by EMS Director Rodney List.

Residents with a story to share can reach the district through its Facebook page or by email at [email protected].
