WAVERLY, Ohio — The Waverly Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a woman suspected of stealing merchandise from the Walmart store in Waverly.
In images released by the department, the woman is seen pushing a loaded shopping cart through the store on June 28, wearing a black “Harry Potter” graphic T-shirt and glasses. A second surveillance photo shows a silver sedan in the store’s parking lot that investigators believe may be connected to the incident.
Police did not detail what items were taken or say how much merchandise was involved in the theft.
“We appreciate the community’s assistance in helping us identify those responsible,” the department said in a Facebook post.
Anyone who recognizes the woman or the vehicle pictured is asked to submit a tip, including anonymously, through the department’s website, Waverlypd.net.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
