ASHVILLE, Ohio — The Village of Ashville has begun using automated phone calls to notify residents about utility matters, including continuous water usage and account termination notices, the village said.

The new system will call customers with continuous water usage alerts, additional termination notices and other important updates, according to a village Facebook post.

Village officials are asking residents to keep their contact information current with the utility office so the calls reach them. Residents can email updated phone numbers to Utility Clerk Colton Poling at [email protected], the village said.

The village said contact information collected for the system is used solely for official village communications and will never be shared or sold.

Ashville, a Pickaway County village of about 4,600 residents as of the 2020 census, runs its water and wastewater service through its Utility Department, based at the village’s administrative offices on Station Street East.

The information contained in this story was obtained from the Village of Ashville.
