CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — The city of Circleville is looking for a resident to fill a vacant seat on its Board of Park Commissioners, a volunteer panel that helps guide the planning, development and upkeep of the city’s parks system.
The seat is open and the application will remain available until it is filled, the city said in a Facebook post. Applicants must be Circleville residents.
Board members oversee the development and maintenance of the city’s park system, hear requests for the use of city parks, and establish and amend park rules and regulations, according to the city. The board meets the first Wednesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, 127 S. Court St.
The board’s current chairperson is Beth Mason and its vice chairperson is Megan Travis, according to the city’s website. The panel reports to the mayor and the city’s parks and recreation director on matters affecting Circleville’s park system, which includes Ted Lewis Park and Yoctangee Park.
