CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Pickaway County property owners whose real estate or mobile homes were damaged or destroyed by recent flooding can now apply for a reduction in their property valuation, the county auditor’s office said Friday.
Gov. Mike DeWine declared a state of emergency for Pickaway County among the counties hit by recent flooding, and Auditor Brad Washburn’s office said affected property owners should complete a Damaged Property Deduction application for real estate or mobile homes.
The applications are posted online at auditor.pickawaycountyohio.gov, according to the release. Property owners may also call the auditor’s office at 740-474-4765 to request a paper form by mail, email the office at [email protected] to request an application, or visit the office in person at 110 Island Road, Suite F, in Circleville between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The auditor’s office said it can answer questions about the application process at the same phone number. The county’s emergency management agency has separately asked residents with flood-related damage to report it through an online form or by email.
