WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio — Ohio Lt. Gov. Jim Tressel will visit Miami Trace High School on Wednesday to lead a student assembly promoting the Team Tressel Fitness Challenge, according to a media advisory from the governor’s office.
The event is set for 10 a.m. at the school, 300 Bloomingburg-New Holland Rd. NW, the advisory said.
The Team Tressel Fitness Challenge is a free statewide program for students in grades three through eight that focuses on cardio, strength, flexibility, nutrition, sleep and gratitude, according to the release. Tressel, the former Ohio State University football coach, has been touring schools across the state this fall to promote the program.
DeVier Posey, the challenge’s captain and a former Ohio State, CFL and NFL athlete, and Joshua Perry, a former Ohio State and NFL athlete, are also scheduled to attend Wednesday’s assembly, the advisory said.
