ASHVILLE, Ohio — Drivers passing through the intersection of Long Street and State Route 752 should expect new pavement markings as crews move the stop bars and turn-lane arrows back about 30 feet, the Village of Ashville said.
The change affects all turn lanes at the intersection, and officials are asking motorists to pay close attention to the repositioned markings and allow extra space as they approach, according to a post from the village.
The intersection, where Long Street crosses the state Route 752 corridor in the heart of the village, has drawn previous traffic advisories from the village. In August, a signal outage at the same intersection prompted officials to direct drivers to treat it as a four-way stop until repairs were made.
Ashville, a village of roughly 4,700 residents in northern Pickaway County, sits along the state Route 752 corridor a short drive south of Columbus. Village officials asked drivers to slow down and stay alert while traveling through the work area.
