CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Rescue crews worked to free a driver from an overturned vehicle in the area of Dry Run Road near Kingston on Sunday evening, according to initial emergency radio traffic.
Fire and rescue units were dispatched shortly after 5:30 p.m. for a single-vehicle crash in which the vehicle came to rest on its side, radio traffic indicated. The driver was reported to have rib and leg injuries, according to the traffic.
Crews on scene described the call as an extrication scenario and requested a squad and rescue unit respond, radio traffic showed. Responders later said the vehicle was unstable on its side and asked for straps to secure it before freeing the driver.
By about 6:08 p.m., radio traffic indicated the driver was out of the vehicle and standing, talking with crews, suggesting the injuries were not life-threatening.
