HILLSBORO, Ohio — The Highland County Health Department will add the MMR vaccine to its drive-thru flu and COVID-19 clinic Wednesday, giving residents a chance to get vaccinated against measles, mumps and rubella without leaving their vehicles.
The clinic runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Paint Creek Joint EMS & Fire District station, 204 N. East St. in Hillsboro, the health department said in a Facebook post. A second clinic, also offering the MMR vaccine, is scheduled for Oct. 28 during the same hours at the same location.

The health department said it accepts most insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, and that self-pay and uninsured options are also available for residents without coverage.
Residents who can’t make either drive-thru date can schedule an appointment at the health department’s office Monday through Friday during business hours, and walk-ins are welcome, the department said.
Questions about the clinics can be directed to the Highland County Health Department at 937-393-1941.
