AMANDA TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Officials have released the name of the man killed in a deadly fire yesterday.
Dr. Brian Varney, Fairfield County Coroner, has said that Jace E. Spires was killed in the fire at 7985 Lancaster-Circleville Road Thursday morning.
The Guardian was the first to report that officials responded to the house just after 1 a.m. on reports it was fully ablaze. When they arrived, three people had escaped the home, but Spires was unaccounted. At around 8 a.m., investigators were able to gain entry into the home and located Spires’ body.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
