PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio–
On May 28th, at 3:11am troopers initiated a traffic stop on a 2013 Nissan Sentra for a speed violation. Troopers approached the vehicle and noticed the occupants exhibited criminal indicators. Troopers then called for a K-9 unit. The K-9 alerted the troopers to the presence of narcotics.
Troopers searched the vehicle and found various drugs including a extremely dangerous mixture of heroin, fentanyl, and carfentanil.
Lashaye Genisis Bowles, 21, and Tahzarai Lashebra Pitts, 25, (both Detroit residents) are currently being held in the Pickaway County Jail. Bowles and Pitts are both charged with first degree felonies for drug possession and drug trafficking. If convicted both suspects could spend up to 33 years in prison.
