HILLSBORO, Ohio — The Highland County Health Department will hold two drive-thru flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinics this fall, allowing residents to get vaccinated without leaving their vehicles.
The clinics are scheduled for Oct. 14 and Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Paint Creek Joint EMS & Fire District station at 204 N. East St. in Hillsboro, the health department said in a Facebook post.

The department said it accepts most insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, and that self-pay and uninsured options are also available.
Residents who can’t make either drive-thru date can still get vaccinated at the health department’s main office, 1487 N. High St., Suite 400 in Hillsboro, which offers flu and COVID-19 shots by appointment or walk-in Monday through Friday during business hours. The office is open 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, according to the health department.
The Paint Creek Joint EMS & Fire District, which is hosting the drive-thru clinics, serves more than 362 square miles across Highland, Fayette and Ross counties and is headquartered in Greenfield.
Residents with questions about the clinics or vaccine availability can call the health department at 937-393-1941.
