UPDATE: 10:25 PM: HCSO’s chief deputy says that they will continue to search throughout the night. The inmate is believed to be contained in a wooded area behind the hospital. The Sheriff has had assistance from the Highway Patrol helicopter, ODNR, and multiple K-9 unite.
The Sheriff has also put up a drone with night vision.

ORIGINAL STORY: Highland County Sheriff is seeking an escaped inmate who ran from the local hospital.
Sheriff Donnie Berra says that at approximately 5 p.m. inmate Johnny Davis Branham, 37, fled from the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro, while in custody. He was wearing red jumpsuit pants, no shirt or shoes. He was wearing leg cuffs, the sheriff said.
He is 5 foot, 11 inches, weighs 160 pounds, with blue eyes and brown short hair.
Anyone who spots him should called 9-1-1.
