FAYETTE COUNTY, Ohio — Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced a “Drug Drop-Off” event in Fayette County.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 31 and runs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Fayette County Sheriff Vernon Stanforth said he would like to remind residents who cannot make the event that there is a drug drop-off bin in the jail lobby. According to Stanforth, the bin is available 24 hours a day.
Event officials said there will be a drop-off tent at two sites. The first one will be in the parking lot of Kroger on Clinton Avenue in Washington Court House. The second location will be at the Fayette County Jail on Robinson Road.
Law enforcement officials said, “disposal of unwanted, unusable or outdated medication prevents it from getting into the wrong person’s hands.”
