WILMINGTON, Ohio — According to the Storm Prediction Center, the Scioto Valley is under a marginal risk for severe weather on Sunday.
Meteorologists with the National Weather Service said scattered strong to severe storms are possible Sunday afternoon and early evening.
NWS says that high winds and localized flooding will be the primary threat from those storms.
The heat will also be a big story on Sunday. The combination of heat and humidity will crank up heat indexes into the upper 90’s. NWS reminds area residents to take necessary precautions if they must be outside for any prolonged length of time.
