BAINBRIDGE, Ohio — Crime scene investigators remain at the scene of the Rent-2-Own fire in Ross County Thursday afternoon.
The building along Quarry Street went up in flames late-Wednesday night, which took a dozen fire departments to battle.
State investigators were called to the scene to determine how the fire started.
“We have had investigators on the scene all day today, so it’s still pretty early for us to have information on the origin and cause investigation at this time,” said State Fire Marshal spokesman Brian Bohnert. “All we can really say right now is the fire is undetermined and very much under investigation right now.”
The company is known in the area for leasing-to-own appliances and home furniture. The company was started in 1985 and has 33 stores, 300 employees, and 17,000 customers, according to owner Mike Tissot.
